I haven't tried the option since, so maybe that's been resolved with Woohooer now. I tried the ITF option once, but had an overstuffed household at the time and couldn't engineer a baby, although the option for a random baby was available for 5000 simoleons. Perhaps reading "The Left Hand of Darkness" in a college Sci-Fi & Fantasy class laid the foundation for the very idea as I never had much of an issue with male pregnancy in the sims games.
By the time the same sex pregnancy mod for TS2 was released I was way over the "weird" reaction to the idea of male pregnancy.
I used a same sex pregnancy mod for TS2, and used alien abductions in TS2 for my gay male couples prior to that. I never thought I would like the idea of male pregnancies for same gender couples (or female pregnancies for female couples, for that matter), but it's quirky, fun, and still my favorite way for my sims to have kids.įor same sex offspring I use Woohooer's same sex pregnancy options (and the male pregnancy clothing morphs igazor linked to). You will also need SP and its caste support if you expect inactive same gender couples around town to reproduce this way on their own. And you will need male "maternity" clothes if you don't already have them in stock. You will also need caste support from StoryProgression if you use SP in order to allow a male pregnancy to progress, if you want male pregnancies. If you want to go about things the "old fashioned" way, Woohooer allows same gender couples to do Risky Woohoo and Try for Baby through romantic interactions. With the Door of Life and Death EA Store object, there are similar options to engineer a baby (I don't have this object so am not entirely sure how it works) With Woohooer v129, the current version, the hospital options are unlocked in regular homeworlds (ITF still required) With ITF installed, there are options to genetically engineer a baby at the Oasis Landing hospital MasterController's Instant Baby - same as above, but without the pregnancy MasterController's Pollinate - creates a pregnancy, you get to choose the two genetic donors (parents) But there are plenty of options for same-gender couples to reproduce together: I don't know of any way to emulate the sperm donation and surrogate mother functions, I'm afraid. We get a fair number of players trying to use it anyway and their games break, sometimes over hospital related things and sometimes over things that are seemingly unrelated. I'm assuming this is the one by SimsMX? It's not compatible with patch levels beyond 1.55 or so, and unfortunately he dropped out while patches and EPs were still being released. Oof, you were wise to ask about that one.
